Depression

Often, people to not recognise that they are suffering from depression.

See some symptoms that often indicate a depressive illness.

No one is exempt from life’s changes, sadnesses, disappointments and losses and yet some people appear to cope better than others.

Yet, difficult though those times may be, they can also be times when we can think differently, reavaluate and become the catalyst for beneficial changes in our lives.

The way we react to events and difficulties is learned behaviour which can be unlearned and so changed for the better.

Some people experience physical symptoms which they do not connect with depressed feelings yet depression is as much a physical illness as an emotional one.

Modern treatments do not involve deep psycho-analysis of past events. On the contrary, the focus is very much on living in the here and now in a better way and positively moving forward and making the most of your life.

Although there are fundamental similarities in human behaviour we are individuals. I have developed a flexible individual program using a Humanistic approach, incorporating Interpersonal Psychotherapy combined with Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro-linguistic Programming which has proved to be not only successful for many clients but much easier than you may think.
